  • Drought, flood, and salt tolerant thanks to its complex root structure and enormous taproots

  • Natural compounds karanjin and pongamol reduce pest pressure without pesticides

  • Pongamia has significantly lower water and fertilizer requirements than most crops

  • Captures 115 tons of carbon per acre—palm, on the other hand, creates 145 ton of carbon per acre
