Pongamia meal for beef cattle in Australia

Exciting news out of Australia! Terviva's proprietary de-bittered pongamia meal has been tested in a series of feedlot trials as part of an Australian Research Council (ARC) Linkage Project, carried out by lead researcher Dr. Sarah J. Meale at the University of Queensland.

The results are promising: pongamia meal fed to beef cattle was able to replace conventional protein sources used by the Australian livestock industry, such as cottonseed meal and canola meal, maintaining equivalent intake and growth rates while also promoting nitrogen retention.

The short video below summarizes our years of R&D to develop safe, effective animal feed from pongamia; how this study came together; and media coverage of the findings. If you'd like to learn more, please be in touch.
